For an organization it is important to have accurate inventory forecasting. Under estimating the inventory would result in under stocking of items. Overestimating the inventory would result in over stocking of items. Also it is also important to consider seasonal variations for the demand of an item. Thus the forecasting technique should also have the weight of the demand forecasted.
